Well it's about time!

We finally had our ultrasound today. I am 21 weeks along and this is the longest I have had to wait to find out what I'm having. Well, it's a.......
GIRL!!!!!
Even though I already had a boy name and Luke's room is big enough for two, we are super excited to be having another girl. Now I need to start thinking about girl names. I had a hard enough time coming up with Katelyn's name so this should be another challenge.
My due date is still April 10th. The baby looked great on the ultrasound and is weighing about 14 ounces right now.
We just pray that she will not be colicky like Katelyn was as a newborn!

Congratulations! That's great. My second and third were the same gender (boys) and it's great because it makes it easier to pass along clothes and to share a room. They also become the best of friends. We also have a hard time coming up with girls names! You should look at www.nymbler.com You input names that you like and it makes other suggestions based on the ones you enter. It's kind of fun even if it doesn't help you find a name. Good luck!

Whoo-hoo! Congrats again. It will be great to have sisters so close in age and a big brother to protect them. That is so great. Can't wait to meet her!

Congratulations! How fun! This will be good to have the two girls close in age -- they can entertain eachother! If it makes you feel any better, I waited 9 months to find out Lacey's gender (of course that was by choice because I love surprises) but like you, I had the boy name picked out and just thought she was a boy all along, so I had to come up with one quick once she was born!

Thanks everyone!
The boys will be outnumbered on both sides of the family. After our baby is born there will be ten girls and six boys on Kevin's side. And four girls and two boys on my side. (I hope I got those numbers right. :))
I am the type of person who is so glad to know what I am having early on so I can start planning. For a split second we thought about waiting until the baby was born, but I knew I couldn't wait. Although I think it would be fun to be surprised on the actual birth day.

congrats! 2 girls in a row should be so much fun! And while there are so many more girl names to choose from, i found choosing a boy name was easier. I can't wait to hear what you choose!!

Yay! Congratulations! You're right: girl names are hard. You want it to be pretty, but not something that's going to sound ridiculous for a grown woman, and then you have to avoid a whole host of names that have been tainted by others... At least now you have a few months to settle on one!
